Jumpers for Dinners

The Hair and Beauty Charity asks you to don your favourite festive wear for its annual Jumpers for Dinners Day on Friday, 8 December 2023. It’s super easy; post an Instagram photo tagging @hbcharityuk once you’re looking festive. Although there is no admission fee, the Charity encourages you to donate where you can. It’s all for a good cause, after-all.

The purpose of Jumpers for Dinners

Imagine not being able to give your kids a festive gift or share a special Christmas dinner with your partner or family. These are the people the Charity looks after, not strangers but people who work in beauty, hair or barbering. They may have had to stop work due to illness or their partner or child being sick. The Charity says it has seen a massive increase in domestic abuse since lockdown. This includes people who have had to leave where they live and work for fear of their lives, many with children. So, the Hair and Beauty Charity asks you and your team to put on your favourite Christmas jumper, elf or Santa outfit for a small donation.

Event details:

  • Date: Friday 8 December 2023
  • Admission: Participants are encouraged to donate to take part
  • Purpose: All monies raised will provide Christmas dinners for those the Charity looks after.
  • Prizes: Tag @hbcharityuk on Instagram to be in with a chance of winning an amazing prize –voted by the fundraising committee

With the cost of living escalating and the holiday season approaching, many families must choose between basic necessities and festive celebrations. With your help, the Hair and Beauty Charity will provide Christmas dinners and special treats to beneficiaries facing a challenging winter. By participating in this festive day, our industry can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.
