The Big Blow Out

The big blow out

Paul Mitchell are revealed as the first-ever official sponsor of the new hairstyling competition ‘The Big Blow Out‘, hosted by AJ Odudu for E4. What a brilliant achievement for the hairdressing industry to have a professional brand partnering with the show – it’s great to see hairdressing getting the dignity it deserves, well done John Paul Mitchell Systems!

The initial episodes are airing with Clean Beauty ads. The ‘do-good’ range from Paul Mitchell. Beautiful packaging, stylish visuals and clear messaging are conveyed and will clearly catch the eye of the audience. Hairdressing heroes Sam McKnight and Lisa Farrall are the judges, sharing encouragement, praise and constructive criticism – we love how this show promotes hairdressing as a career choice, the boost it certainly needs!

Sponsored by professionals

Salon Services (by Sally Europe) are the distributor for the Paul Mitchell brand. “Paul Mitchell UK has always championed the creativity and talent of British hairdressers. We can’t wait for the Great British Public to be captivated by the skill and excitement this competition will showcase!” says Dara Goolsby, marketing director at Sally Europe.

It’s always exciting to find a sponsorship partner for a brand-new Channel 4 show. For our hotly anticipated The Big Blow Out, it is fantastic to launch with Paul Mitchell whose product range is perfectly suited to help bring the programme to life.” Rupinder Downie, Sponsorship & Commercial Partnerships Leader, Channel 4.

Love Productions who produce The Great British Bake-Off and the Great Pottery Throw Down are the creators of The Big Blow Out. It’s their first commission for E4 and the production team hope to recreate the success of their previous talent competitions in the field of baking and pottery.

Bravo to Paul Mitchell for their pioneering spirit. Here’s to hoping we see more interest in the hairdressing profession.
