News added 18/10/17: Revlon Professional’s global influencer John Vial led an international team to style the Valentin Yudashkin SS18 ready-to-wear collection at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris at the beginning of the month. Full of grace and sophistication, the Valentin Yudashkin woman has an unprecedented sense of style and poise which the Revlon hair team had to capture and convey. Hair was luscious and glossy, super-straight and worn flat to the head with a middle parting. Uncomplicated and oh so chic, we think the Revlon team hit the nail on the head.
Congratulations to John Vial and the whole Revlon Professional team: Yulia Mironova (Russia), Bozena Sarek (Ireland) and Emmanuel Esteban (UK) were working with John Vial, as well as Loueva Picault (France), Natalia Baranova (Russia), Elena Ivashkova (Russia) and Elizaveta Beznosenko (Russia) – all of whom were also finalists in Revlon Professional’s Style Masters Contest earlier this year.

• Texture Foam: We predict big things for the texture foam… it provides volume and shape, and thanks to the foam format ensures hair is smooth, supple and manageable with the additional bonus of medium hold and shine.
News added 14/09/18: BLONDERFUL
Choosing to be blonde opens up a wonderful Pandora’s box of lightening services, from higlights, to fantasy colour and a radical new look. Of course a big preoccupation with safeguarding the condition of the hair has prompted manufacturers to address the issue of hair care in colour services. Happily Revlon Professional has revealed the brand’s first range of lightening products that incorporate Plexforce™ in its formulas. New Blonderful™ helps maintain the hair’s structural bonds and guaranteeing maximum hair respect during the service, while reducing breakage and leaving hair looking healthy. The most clever part is the introduction of Plexforce™ which is designed to protect the hair form the inside – combining Maleic acid and a specific conditioner that penetrates the hair fibre to help protect and maintain the hair, and so retain its natural characteristics. Blonderful™ addresses a broad market and offers you the opportunity to grow, improve and enjoy your colour service more than ever. See how:
• Step 1: Lightening powder comes in a choice of lightening up to 8 or 7 levels with optimal neutralization. Coloured powders make it easier to differentiate between them
• Step 2: Blonderful™ Bond Defender can be either a pre-lightening treatment for damaged hair, or a post-lightening protective treatment (10 minutes). With Plexforce™ inside it helps protect and preserve the hair’s structural bonds. It interacts with Post Color Shampoo to create a protective layer that helps porous hair to return to its natural hydrophobic state
• Step 3: A Blonderful™ Bond Maintainer for home use again includes Plexforce™ and is applied to damp hair before the shampoo.
Additional to the range, two ammonia-free products offer sophistication and toning in only five minutes! A 5’ Soft Lightener can help to achieve a brighter, more luminous blonde shade (suitable for use on the same day as the service or between highlighting services), and a 5’ Soft Toner naturalizes and tones highlights without altering previously-coloured or natural base. Available in four shades: 9.01, 9.02, 10.01, and 10.02
Promising up to eight levels of lightening, healthy-looking hair and a comfortable service, the Blonderful non-volatile formulas, pleasant fragrance, stable mixtures and coloured powders are among the benefits which make this easier to use and more pleasant to experience.

News added 28/07/17: As part of American Crew’s UK and Ireland Elite Team and a regular on the session world scene, Sam Wall is a name you need to know. Having had a late start in the industry – beginning his career at 22 – Sam has wasted no time and has already racked up some serious career accolades including a coveted finalist position at the 2017 American Crew All-Star Challenge competition. Drawing on his runway experience this year, he’s given us the low-down on some seriously chic looks to tempt your clients with:
The Textured Look
Sam says: “We’ve kept the sides very sharp and clean whilst the top is loose and messy, maintaining that masculine shape. We used a feather razor to create a sporadic texture on top which allows plenty of movement. To finish the look, the sides were polished down with a brush and hairdryer, then I finger-dried the top”.
American Crew Boost Powder to create support.
American Crew Forming Cream to add light shine and hold.
The Wavy Crop
Sam says: “This look is all about working with the natural wave and controlling the curl a the front. Back and sides we kept short, but without showing skin and keeping a masculine shape. The hair is cut all the same lengths throughout the top and is kept short to achieve balance. To relax the wave and curl, a feather razor was used to remove some of the weight and American Crew Boost Cream was applied and left to dry naturally.”

John Vial at Salon Sloane, and the Revlon Professional global influencer is sure these new shades will be everywhere for SS17: “Next season’s big hair colour obsession is going to be ‘mink’. The good news is, it’s a flattering shade on everyone, being completely wearable, and it gives an instant Instagram filter effect to your hair. Channel nudes, neutrals and natural tones – Cara Delevigne, Margo Robbie, Julianne Hough & Amanda Seyfried are all early adopters. Generally, colour is flat-out, meaning no warm tones, but more flat muted hues will give a super natural finish , slightly animalistic. Think mink!”.
