JOICO ambassador Paul Watts becomes college educator

With lockdown putting a stop to travelling and face to face education, the industry was forced into a digital world, with seminars and sessions going online and becoming a new favourite with stylists around the world – allowing them to network and engage with like minded individuals from the four corners of the globe. And we’re trying our best to keep you up to date with the latest educational news and content available online. Talking news and education, JOICO European Design team member and brand ambassador for the UK, Europe and Ireland Paul Watts becomes college educator.

Paul is known not only for his creative skill and passion for the craft, but for his incredible dedication to education, having travelled around the world sharing his skill and teaching others. He has used his lockdown time very wisely, making contact with local colleges and creating courses and education sessions for students around the UK.

Whilst continually collaborating with JOICO Europe, delivering education through their web portal and social media platforms, Paul has added to his education portfolio and secured an educating position within the UK colleges. So far Paul has partnered with over 18 colleges to provide education and that’s incredible!

Basic Instinct

Realising how difficult digital learning had become for many students and the opportunities they were missing out on due to lockdown, Paul created a course titled ‘Basic Instinct’ which takes foundation skills and shows the student how to dilute them into current, modern day trends.

The course has been welcomed by colleges around the UK, with Paul having delivered the course to almost 20 colleges so far. Paul has also created a fantastic relationship with the education hubs and has delivered several bespoke sessions including trend led haircuts and instinctive trends.

‘Even though we are in lockdown, I am absolutely delighted to be working with colleges around the UK to deliver education. Education never stops in our industry and it’s great to see the students engaging and putting a real focus on their career. With my knowledge and experience I am able to tailor the sessions to the need of the specific college and make them much more bespoke. I am delighted to be educating once more,’ says Paul.
